Junior Welding Engineer Department:

Engineering Manager ROLE:

You will primarily be working with our Welding Manager on work instructions, tabulating and analyzing weld defects, creating weld maps, and processing WPSs. You will also be working directly with Engineering on similar tasks. While doing the above, you'll be gaining valuable experience so you can contribute in an ever increasingly meaningful way. Most of the value you add will come from your ability to communicate clearly, quickly understand processes that you must follow, and solve loosely defined problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Generating material work to welding and grinding as directed Creating quality checklists and work instructions in keeping with our methodology and following up on published material to ensure its correctness and effectiveness Completing and implementing RCCAs for errors/mistakes originating from Engineering Creating, documenting, and improving SOPs Generating ppts and customer communications as tasked

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

A relevant Engineering degree or experiential equivalency Basic understanding of the various manufacturing processes performed at Inland Strong computer skills for the common stuff (excel/email/etc) and a quick study for the uncommon stuff (ERP/QDB) Strong leadership, communication, and people skills.
