An engineering professional who applies scientific knowledge, engineering knowledge, mathematics, and ingenuity to complete assignments related to a specific technical field or discipline. Works under general supervision who reviews results for overall accuracy, completeness, and soundness of technical judgment. Identifies and quantifies technical risks and their consequences relative to the success of part of a project; recommends appropriate action, e.g. reports calculations and recommendations in terms concrete enough for management to make an informed decision. Decisions or recommendations would typically achieve department/project objectives. Drives functional performance that ensures the highest standard in quality, customer service, and regulatory compliance are met. Technical/Design Anticipates future directions. Benchmarks internally and externally. Recognizes changes in the environment and present resources as indicators of future problems and opportunities; prepares for such eventualities, e.g. initiates plan to acquire new engineering skills required by changes in technology. Independently executes the design of products/processes/equipment/systems/facilities by applying standard engineering theories, concepts, and techniques within the discipline. Independently investigates, conducts tests or experiments, gathers data, and performs preliminary analysis. Reports findings. Prepares and communicates recommendations and respective action plans. Project Management Plans and conducts small- to medium-size assigned projects within engineering specialty requiring conventional types of plans, investigations, and/or equipment.
- Facilitates the definition of a project scope with clients.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering and a minimum of five years of significant engineering and/or operational experience is required. Plastics Engineering and Biomedical Engineering background highly preferred. A working knowledge of Scientific Injection Molding, Injection Molding Tool Design, Measurement System Analysis, Design of Experiments, Process Capability Analysis and Injection Molding Qualification is highly preferred. Must have experience working with external and sub tier suppliers. Medical device experience (21 CFR Part 820, ISO13485) highly preferred. Experience in working with External Manufacturers and Sub- Tier suppliers is highly preferred. Supplier component validations and processing technical documents (IQ/OQ/PQ) This position is located Irvine, CA and requires between 20

Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)). This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program. Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits: Vacation- 120 hours per calendar year Sick time

- 56 hours per calendar year Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays
