full-time Materials Engineer Torrington CT Perm $90,000 - $105,000 Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of materials science, including FRP composites, plastics, polymers, adhesives, and related materials . Strong design engineering capabilities with the ability to develop practical, innovative solutions. High degree of creativity, initiative, and independent problem-solving . Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues . Excellent analytical, computational, and critical-thinking skills . Ability to identify and develop creative or unconventional solutions to challenging product implementation and development issues. Highly organized with strong project management and time-management skills . Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure environments while managing strict deadlines. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and execute deliverables efficiently . Excellent verbal and written communication skills . Strong presentation and technical communication skills . Experience & Education Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline. 1-5 years of relevant engineering experience , preferably in design, materials, manufacturing, or product development. Design engineering experience preferred . Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies is a plus. Experience working with composite materials, polymers, adhesives, or other advanced materials is highly desirable.
