Advantage Technical is hiring a Materials Engineer on behalf of our client, an aircraft interiors innovator. If you love solving science puzzles and turning ideas into real products, this Torrington, CT role is for you.Job Duties:
Recommend the best technologies and inputs to fit customer requirements Introduce innovative concepts for new and existing product lines Evaluate options and develop physical property requirements and test plans Lead new product development from concept through production qualification Test physical properties using standardized methods and write test reports Ensure specifications, cost targets, and timing plans are met Build and test prototypes with technical staff Travel to customers, suppliers, or company facilities as needed Support Quality and AS9100 standards and safety practicesEducation Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Materials Science, or a related fieldExperience Requirements:
1-5 years of experience in a related engineering fieldPreferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of FRP composites, plastics, polymers, and adhesives Design engineering experience Exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies Strong project management, analytical, and communication skillsBenefits:
