Job Description
An international automotive parts manufacturer in the Northwest of Indianapolis, IN area is looking for a Welding Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG welding and spot welding. Welding Supervisor Responsibilities Supervise daily welding operations, including Spot Welding and Robotic CO2/MIG Welding. Lead, train, and support welding operators and production team members. Monitor production schedules and ensure production goals are met. Ensure welding quality meets company and customer standards. Troubleshoot production and welding-related issues and coordinate with Maintenance and Engineering as needed. Monitor employee performance, attendance, and safety compliance. Ensure all safety procedures and company policies are followed. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency. Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering departments. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Welding Supervisor Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; technical education is preferred. Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with Spot Welding and Robotic CO2/MIG Welding. Experience in automotive manufacturing is preferred. Knowledge of welding processes, quality standards, and production equipment. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to troubleshoot production and welding-related issues. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement is a plus.
