Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Role Summary We are currently looking for a practical Process Engineer to contribute to our expanding production facility. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to transition into a permanent role while making a tangible difference in our operations. Your primary focus will involve enhancing production workflows, providing essential operational support, and spearheading initiatives for ongoing improvement. Success in this role requires a candidate who is comfortable working directly on the factory floor, collaborating with production staff, and translating technical concepts into functional manufacturing outcomes. Core Duties Evaluate and refine production methods to boost overall output, quality standards, and operational efficiency. Spearhead optimization initiatives by applying Lean and Six Sigma principles to improve team performance. Utilize data analytics and Design of Experiments (DOE) to execute and validate process enhancements. Design technical schematics, tooling solutions, fixtures, and essential manufacturing documentation. Assist production personnel by resolving technical challenges and addressing process-related obstacles to keep operations running smoothly. Facilitate collaboration and project alignment between the Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams. Author and manage comprehensive process manuals, standard operating procedures, and engineering protocols. Deliver expert technical guidance during the rollout of new processes and equipment upgrades to ensure team success. Engage regularly with the production floor to foster a culture of process accountability and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Plastics Engineering, or a closely related technical field. Certification as a Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, with a demonstrated history of applying DOE techniques. Comprehensive knowledge of thermodynamics, heat transfer, material shrinkage, cooling rates, and internal stress factors. Proficiency in utilizing Autodesk software, specifically Inventor and AutoCAD. Capability to produce precise engineering schematics for machine shop fabrication and production use. Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication and cooperation across various departments. Practical mechanical skills with a proven track record of designing fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing solutions. Demonstrated ability to develop and oversee essential manufacturing process documentation.
