Job Description
Engineering-Tooling Manager Our successful client is seeking an Engineering-Tooling Manager to help bring their plastic injection molded products from concept to manufacturing. This full-time, direct-hire position offers a collaborative work environment and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities of the Engineering-Tooling Manager Work with customers and Sales to identify customer design requirements and the most cost-effective designs, materials, and processes for the application Work with the estimating group to develop cost estimates, quotations, and proposals; ensure quotes are accurate and designs are within the company's capabilities Manage new projects from concept to production Ensure all required engineering documentation (e.g., drawings, spec sheets, updated estimates, item masters, BOMs) are complete before transfer to Manufacturing team Perform additional tasks as required Qualifications of the Engineering-Tooling Manager BS degree in Engineering or technical field with 5+ years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent experience Knowledge of plastics materials (engineering and commodity grades) Sound knowledge of manufacturing methods and processes used in plastics Sound knowledge of manufacturing methods and processes used in tooling for the injection molding industry Knowledge of molding equipment, techniques, and tooling Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Experienced with CAD software (SolidWorks) We look forward to connecting with you about this Engineering-Tooling Manager opportunity!
