full-time Key Responsibilities Direct all accounting and financial reporting activities for a portfolio of commercial real estate properties. Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and review financial statements for accuracy and completeness. Analyze property-level financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide meaningful insights to management. Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for the property portfolio. Partner with property management teams on tenant billing, lease administration, reconciliations, collections, and operating expenses. Manage property-level cash flow, including collections, disbursements, reserves, and banking activity. Maintain strong relationships with banking partners and ensure appropriate controls are in place over company and property funds. Oversee and develop a team of three accounting professionals supporting A/P, A/R, and general ledger accounting. Establish and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting, and increase efficiency across the accounting function. Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party partners. Support tax compliance, audit requests, and other financial reporting requirements. Ensure accounting practices and financial reporting comply with US GAAP and company policies. Work closely with corporate finance and senior leadership on financial analysis, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
