Job Description

Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Fall 2026. Be majoring in or having majored in Mechanical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering. Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during the summer 2026. Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) Experience or coursework/research in carbon/carbon (C/C) composites, ceramics matrix composites (CMC), colloidal processing of ceramics, use of organic binder systems for ceramic processing, or tape casting Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25/4.0 or higher Current active Secret Security Clearance or higher Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular) Experienced in C/C composites, ceramic materials and/or composite test method, process development, and qualification. Knowledge in materials testing methods (mechanical and thermal) and interpreting lab results. Team oriented, enthusiastic about working with others on cross functional teams, and eager to learn Strong ability and willingness to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
