Job Summary The Barrett Paving Materials Internship Program provides current college students with hands-on experience in the aggregates and ready-mix concrete industry. As a QA/QC Intern, you will assist with quality testing, data analysis, and operational support at aggregate production facilities. The program offers exposure to limestone, sand & gravel, and ready-mix operations while developing a strong foundation in industry standards for quality control, product testing, and regulatory compliance. Main Responsibilities Gain an understanding of the role of Quality Control in the construction materials supply chain. Assist with laboratory and field testing, developing proficiency with testing equipment and procedures. Learn and apply industry testing standards, specifications, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with plant and operations teams to build communication and problem-solving skills. Complete a project that provides value to both the company and the intern's learning experience. Skills Strong math and analytical skills for data collection and interpretation. Clear written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and take on new challenges. Willingness to travel as needed. Education Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Geology, Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related field.
