Job Description
Assembly Process Engineer-Bonding, Anderson, SC, OPmobility Exterior USA LLC. Engr, launch &troubleshoot automated assy &high-performance bonding eqpt, incl. indl. robots; automated polyurethane adhesive dispensing syss; HF ultrasonic welding syss; laser cutting syss; automated inspection &vision syss; fastening/assy tools; &PLCs to manage sequence of ops., to support high-volume production of painted plastic automot ext cmpts incl. liftgates, bumpers, rocker panels &grilles, delivered to original OEMs. Dvlp/standardize bonding &assy processes using 2K adhesives, validating surface treatment technologies like flaming ≺iming to ensure superior adhesion on low-surface-energy substrates. Reqrd travel to our mfg plants in Greer SC; Normal, IL; Spring Hill, TN; &Toledo, OH, to support, validate, &troubleshoot installation, debugging, deployment, &commissioning of automated assy &bonding eqpt to achieve prod. readiness &SOP, up to 8wks P/A. Bachelor, Mechanical or Mfg Engrg, or Materials Science/Engrg, or related. 12 mos exp as Engr or related, engrg &launching automated assy &high-performance bonding eqpt, incl. robots; automated adhesive dispensing syss; &ultrasonic welding syss, to support prod. of plastic automot ext cmpts, or related.
