Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to a variety of industrial equipment, machinery, and structural components. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, and surface treatment to ensure optimal coating adhesion in accordance with construction painting surface preparation standards. Operate various hand tools, power tools, and spray guns—including airless paint sprayers, conventional spray guns, and powder coating equipment—to apply coatings efficiently and uniformly. Interpret production documents such as work orders, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine appropriate painting procedures. Mix paints, primers, and coatings accurately using basic math skills to achieve desired color matches and coating thicknesses. Use precision measuring instruments for surface inspection and coating thickness verification to ensure compliance with quality standards. Handle materials safely by adhering strictly to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols, including respirators and respiratory protection devices. Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling materials and disposing of waste according to safety guidelines. Conduct visual color comparisons and surface inspections to identify defects or inconsistencies in the coating process. Support auto body repair or manufacturing processes by applying auto painting techniques when required. Collaborate with team members during assembly or machining operations as needed to ensure seamless workflow. Requirements Proven experience in industrial painting, construction painting surface preparation, or auto body repair within manufacturing or construction environments. Proficiency with coating application methods such as conventional spraying, airless paint spraying, powder coating, and finishing techniques. Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, materials handling, and auto painting processes. Familiarity with safety protocols including PPE use, respirator fitting, and respiratory protection measures. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production documents accurately. Basic math skills for mixing paints and calculating coating thicknesses. Experience operating hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, and precision measuring instruments. Knowledge of quality standards in production environments to maintain high-quality finishes consistently.
