Job DescriptionBuild More Than Drawings. Help Build Industrial Furnaces Around the World.
Are you the type of engineer who would rather be standing beside a massive industrial furnace than sitting behind a desk every day?
We're looking for an Associate Engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges but isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and work in demanding industrial environments. This isn't a position where you'll simply create drawings and send them to the field—you'll be on-site watching those designs come to life and helping ensure they're built correctly.

What You'll DoAs part of our Global Refractory Engineering Team, you'll help design and support custom furnace projects from concept through installation by:
Creating and revising AutoCAD and Inventor drawingsDeveloping bills of materials and manufacturing documentationAssisting with project planning and schedulingSupporting CNC manufacturing processesParticipating in customer and engineering review meetingsProducing as-built drawings following project completionWorking alongside experienced installation teams during furnace constructionHelping verify that projects are installed according to engineering specificationsSupporting quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycleThis Is Not Your Typical Engineering JobA significant part of this role happens in the field.
You'll spend time on active industrial job sites where refractory furnaces are being built.
QualificationsWhat We're Looking ForAssociate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor preferredManufacturing, refractory, or industrial experience is a plusStrong mathematical and analytical abilitiesExcellent communication and collaboration skillsSelf-starter who enjoys solving problems and learning through hands-on experienceWillingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%)Why You'll Love This RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who wants far more than a desk job.
