Job Description

A day in the life — Monette, AR You kick off the morning scanning ERP dashboards and production metrics. A spike in scrap triggers a structured root cause analysis; by noon, you've validated corrective actions and aligned cross-functional partners on the path forward. The afternoon shifts to design-for-manufacturability reviews—translating product concepts into robust, repeatable molding processes. You close the day by mentoring junior engineers on best practices and exploring a promising new molding technology to pilot next quarter. What you'll own Designing, developing, and tuning injection molding processes to drive efficiency, quality, and cost improvement. Leading rigorous root cause investigations and implementing durable corrective and preventive actions. Partnering with design, quality, and operations to ensure parts are manufacturable and meet all specifications. Driving projects for process improvements, equipment upgrades, and the introduction of new molding technologies. Coaching and upskilling junior engineers and production teams on technical standards and methods. Monitoring KPIs and deploying strategies to lift throughput, yield, and first-pass quality. Staying on top of industry advances in materials, tooling, and molding equipment. What you'll bring BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline. 5+ years in manufacturing engineering with a deep focus on injection molding. Expert knowledge of molding processes, materials, tooling, and press/auxiliary equipment. Proficiency with CAD and related engineering tools. Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on mindset. Clear, collaborative communication skills and effectiveness in cross-functional teams. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma; formal certification is a plus.
