The Mechanical Project Engineer will develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. High energy, a strong sense of curiosity and hands-on mechanical experience is required.
Specific Responsibilities Include :
Performs research, design, and development of manufacturing processes and product designs. Evaluates business cases for new manufacturing processes, presents recommendations to upper management. Creates new designs to solve difficult manufacturing problems. Designs or sources production equipment, robotic systems and automation equipment. Prepares detailed CAD models and drawings to facilitate fabrication. Qualifications of the
Position Include:
5 years of progressive manufacturing/mechanical engineering experience in a manufactured products environment. Strong organizational, problem-solving and decision-making skills in a manufacturing environment. Experience designing machines and machine components including but not limited to shafts, bearings, motors, frames, fixturing, etc. Prior experience with manufacturing equipment. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team orientation.
