This position is open to candidates at the Engineer I, II, or III level, depending on experience and technical depth. The role involves participation throughout the product lifecycle, from early concept and feasibility through verification, validation, and product launch, along with ongoing support for commercialized products. Candidates should be comfortable working in regulated environments and have working knowledge of FDA design control requirements and
ISO 13485
standards. Core Responsibilities Participate in design and development activities in compliance with FDA design control requirements Support all stages of product development, including feasibility, development, verification, validation, and post-launch support Create and update 3D models and drawings using SolidWorks Build and iterate prototypes for catheters, stents, delivery systems, and related devices Develop and execute verification and validation plans, protocols, and reports Conduct bench testing, performance evaluations, and dimensional inspections Analyze and document test data, ensuring alignment with internal procedures Improve and maintain inspection methods for components and finished goods Assess measurement systems, equipment capability, and test repeatability Contribute to product specifications and engineering documentation Interpret drawings, GD&T, schematics, and technical files Perform statistical analysis to assess product performance and reliability Investigate product issues, including internal nonconformances and customer complaints, and determine root cause Implement design or process improvements to enhance product performance Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering on process development and optimization Work closely with Operations to ensure accurate execution of drawings and work instructions Support packaging design, labeling, and readiness for product launch Assist with Device History Record (DHR) review and documentation Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations Interface with external suppliers and development partners, both domestic and international Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or similar field Approximately 1-5 years of experience in medical device development Background in catheter-based, vascular, neurovascular, or minimally invasive devices is preferred Familiarity with regulated product development and design control processes Proficiency with SolidWorks or similar CAD tools Experience supporting products from early development through commercialization Hands-on experience with testing, inspection methods, and data analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Preferred Background Experience with catheter manufacturing or implantable devices Exposure to global supplier or contract manufacturing environments Prior work in startup or fast-paced small company settings Benefits 401(k) plan Medical, dental, and vision insurance Flexible spending account Life insurance Paid time off Location Requirement Candidates must be able to commute to Arcadia, CA 91006.
