Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer II is responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of mechanical components and has a significant impact on product innovation, cost, schedule, and feature sets. The position requires the application of engineering principles to the design of sellable and internal company products.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Component and simple assembly design Product development activities ranging from conceptual development, prototyping, and design validation to manufacturing and existing product support; individually and collaboratively Collaboration with engineers of various disciplines to develop products with electromechanical and mechanical content Mechanical drafting and technical document authoring Conduct tests, design manufacturing fixtures, support senior colleagues May include involvement in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of products as required to accomplish company goals Provide guidance to fellow team members Perform other job-related duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field 3+ years of experience working in a similar role Experience designing components and simple assemblies using CAD software Knowledge of product development processes including prototyping, validation, and manufacturing support Experience creating mechanical drawings and technical documentation Familiarity with testing, fixture design, and validation activities Hands-on experience with fabrication, assembly, or troubleshooting of mechanical systems Ability to support senior engineers on complex projects and contribute to cross-functional development efforts Benefits The starting pay range for this position is $97,500 - $110,000 per year however, base pay offered may vary depending on the level of the position, skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
