This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire product design process, from customer specifications review to conceptualization through analysis and detailed engineering documentation and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electro-mechanical product development, advanced CAD modeling, and engineering standards, with excellence in engineering analysis to size, design and qualify Propulsion system components for applications in space exploration missions. Ideal candidate is required to have multidisciplinary knowledge and experience with excellent communication skill to interact with project teams at NASA and at Prime Contractors level. As a key leader, you will foster cross-functional collaboration, ensuring compliance with industry codes, and the latest AS9100 revision to advance continuous improvement to meet strategic objectives. Responsibilities ►Preferred Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. ►7 years plus experience in fluid control product design and development. ►Fundamental understanding of engineering disciplines, including analysis, design, documentation, static/dynamic mechanisms, strength of materials, manufacturing processes, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer. ►Proficiency in the use of latest SolidWorks and 3D CAD Software to create drawings with GD&T per ASME Y14.5, tolerance analysis to meet product form, fit, and function at single, sub-assembly, and assembly levels. ►Identify required tool and fixture, write assembly and test procedures and reports. ►Skilled in using FEA, Mechanical-CFD, Fatigue Life Analysis, and Thermal and Reliability Analysis. ►Skilled in the selection of Materials and their properties per NASA MAPTIS and MMPDS. ►Experienced in performing failure analysis and implementing corrective action solutions. ►Manage product development and documentation in accordance with AS9100 and
ISO-9001-2015
Quality Systems. ►Prepare documentation required for internal Audit and annual AS9100 recertification. ►Prepare Development, Acceptance and Qualification Test Procedures, including assembly and calibration instructions.Key Personal Qualifications:
►Excellent written and verbal communication to express concepts, design ideas, and conduct PDR/CDR meetings. ►Demonstrate innovative thinking, leadership, and professional engineering capabilities with attention to details. ►Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident holding a valid U.S. Green Card.Employee Benefits:
