Position Summary SolidWorks CAD Technician -
Temporary Temporary Position:
6-9 Months | Full-Time | $22.00-$26.00 per Hour Position Summary Master Magnetics is seeking a detail-oriented SolidWorks CAD Technician for a temporary 6-9 month assignment supporting our Engineering team. The primary focus of this position is creating accurate 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings for our existing product portfolio. This is a CAD-focused position; an engineering degree is not required. We are looking for someone who is proficient in SolidWorks and enjoys modeling physical products, creating accurate technical drawings, and maintaining organized CAD documentation. Key Responsibilities Create and revise 3D part models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings in SolidWorks. Measure and reverse engineer existing products and components to accurately recreate them in SolidWorks. Apply appropriate dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes, hole callouts, and drawing notes. Verify models and drawings against physical products and available documentation. Update, standardize, and organize existing CAD models, drawings, and file structures. Work with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Product Management to resolve dimensional and documentation questions. Complete model and drawing revisions based on engineering review and support additional CAD projects as needed. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency with SolidWorks , including 3D part modeling, assemblies, and 2D drawings. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, dimensions, and tolerances. Ability to accurately measure physical components and translate measurements into CAD models and drawings. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively when clarification is needed. CSWA or CSWP certification strongly preferred. CAD, drafting, mechanical design, engineering technology, or manufacturing coursework or training preferred. Experience using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, or similar measuring equipment preferred. Experience reverse engineering physical products or creating manufacturing drawings from physical samples preferred. Familiarity with GD&T, bills of materials, revision control, and engineering change processes is a plus. Position Details Temporary assignment anticipated to last 6-9 months . Full-time, Monday-Friday.
Pay Range:
$22.00-$26.00 per hour.
