Job Description
Must have an Active Secret Clearance, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance. Position Overview We are seeking a Test Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and testing of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunctional automated test equipment (ATE) for flight hardware. The selected candidate will participate throughout the test system lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, configuration, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, test, verification, and acceptance. The role will work closely with internal engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and senior leadership to develop cost-effective, low-risk test solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, procurement, assembly, testing, and verification of automated test systems, including data review and trending. Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design modifications, material procurement, manufacturing, testing, and acceptance of electrical and electromechanical test systems. Develop hardware requirements for subsystem-level and locally assigned support equipment test systems. Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal engineering and business teams, vendors, and customers. Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal design teams to develop cost-effective and low-risk solutions. Support Failure Review Board (FRB) activities through issue resolution and closure. Create and update project and process documentation in accordance with project requirements. Read and interpret schematic diagrams and technical documentation. Troubleshoot system-level issues and support resolution of hardware and test-system problems. Mentor junior engineers and support the development of engineering team members. Coordinate with small, diverse teams in the development and testing of technical products. Interface with customers and senior leadership as required. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. 3+ years of professional experience. Experience in both electrical hardware design and test. Experience with hardware development. Strong technical background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or similar test systems. Experience with interconnect design. Experience with one or more of the following: Creo, Windchill, Zuken, or PSpice. Experience with the product lifecycle, including development, deployment, and retirement. Experience with issue tracking systems. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance. Desired Skills Experience leading a team responsible for the development and testing of integrated test systems. Experience serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) or equivalent technical lead. Experience with Telemetry Data Processing (TDP). Experience working with RF systems. Experience coordinating small, diverse teams in the development of technical products. Experience reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentation. Experience troubleshooting system-level issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with AI prompting as it applies to engineering and test-system development. BI03
