0% - 20% Purpose and Scope Phiston Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of innovative electro-mechanical systems used in industrial equipment and secure data destruction technologies. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise throughout the product lifecycle, from concept and prototype development through production and customer implementation. This position requires collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop reliable, high-quality products that meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and company objectives. Responsibilities/Duties - Duties and activities that constitute the performance of the job Design and develop electro-mechanical systems, assemblies, and components for industrial equipment. Lead new product development and continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, technical reports, and design documentation. Develop and review engineering drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs). Collaborate with electrical, controls, software, manufacturing, and quality teams throughout the product development process. Build, test, and evaluate prototypes to validate product performance and functionality. Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and system integration issues. Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions for product or manufacturing issues. Support manufacturing by providing technical guidance during fabrication, assembly, and testing. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, materials, and engineering solutions to improve product performance and manufacturability. Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations. Maintain accurate engineering documentation, design revisions, and technical procedures. Assist with customer installations and provide engineering support when required. Communicate project status, technical challenges, and recommendations to management. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee.
