Mechanical EngineerJob Description The Mechanical Engineer will create, update, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, supporting engineering and project teams with accurate design documentation. This role focuses on converting legacy drawings into modern formats, ensuring all documentation meets company and industry standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment within the amusement park industry. Responsibilities + Create, update, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. + Convert existing or legacy drawings into updated formats while preserving design intent and accuracy. + Ensure all drawings and documentation comply with applicable company and industry standards. + Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to verify the accuracy and completeness of design documentation. + Assist in organizing, maintaining, and systematically filing engineering documentation and CAD files. + Review and revise drawings based on feedback from stakeholders, design updates, and project changes. + Support engineering teams with design documentation, revisions, and redlines throughout the project lifecycle. + Manage documentation accuracy with strong attention to detail and consistent quality control. + Prioritize and expedite tasks to meet tight deadlines and project milestones. + Handle multiple projects simultaneously and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. + Communicate clearly in writing and verbally to share updates, clarify requirements, and document changes. + Use MS Office tools to prepare reports, logs, and documentation related to engineering projects. + Apply mechanical and electrical engineering principles to support design and documentation activities. + Contribute as a motivated team player, participating in cross-functional collaboration and project coordination. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. + Minimum of 2+ years of professional engineering experience after graduation. + Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for creating and modifying engineering drawings. + Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design documentation. + Experience creating and modifying engineering drawings and related documentation. + Mechanical design and mechanical engineering knowledge. + Experience in both mechanical engineering and electrical engineering disciplines. + Strong attention to detail with a focus on documentation accuracy. + Detail-oriented and highly organized approach to managing files and information. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Excellent typing and grammar skills for clear and precise documentation. + Ability to work well under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines. + Ability to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities. + Motivated team player who collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams. + Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Fluency in additional language(s) is a plus. + Knowledge of MS Project is a plus. + Strong expediting and project management skills. + Experience supporting projects within the amusement park industry is beneficial. + Ability to build transferable skills in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. Work Environment This is a full-time, onsite role, working Monday through Friday in a dynamic environment connected to the amusement park industry. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of St. Petersburg, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
