This position will work closely with customers, engineering, fabrication, and project management to take projects from initial concept through completed product. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving problems, working with customers, and turning ideas and drawings into practical, manufacturable solutions. This is a hands-on role where you will have the opportunity to work directly with our engineering and fabrication teams and see your projects come to life on the shop floor. Responsibilities Work directly with customers to understand project requirements, specifications, and design intent Review customer drawings, models, specifications, and project documentation Develop and modify 3D models, drawings, and fabrication documentation Use Creo Parametric to create and modify parts, assemblies, and drawings Develop practical, cost-effective designs that can be efficiently fabricated Work with the fabrication team to resolve design and manufacturing issues Assist with project estimating, material selection, and determining manufacturing processes Coordinate projects from initial concept through fabrication, inspection, and delivery Communicate project requirements and changes to internal departments Identify potential problems before they reach the shop floor and develop solutions Support production by answering technical questions and making design adjustments as needed Work with customers and vendors to obtain technical information, clarify requirements, and coordinate project details Help develop standard processes, fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing improvements Maintain accurate project documentation and engineering records Participate in continuous improvement efforts throughout the engineering and fabrication departments What We're Looking For Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Ability to understand how designs translate into real-world fabrication Strong attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively with customers and shop personnel Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Comfortable working in both an office and manufacturing environment Mechanical aptitude and a practical approach to engineering Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Experience with 3D CAD software; Creo experience is a plus Understanding of welding, machining, laser cutting, forming, and general metal fabrication is a plus Why Trackside?
