Overview:

A highly respected global manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Designer to join its Engineering Automation team. This role is ideal for a hands-on designer who enjoys leading complex automation and machine design projects from concept through implementation. You will play a key role in designing custom automated equipment, robotics integrations, and advanced production systems that support cutting-edge manufacturing operations.

Job Duties:

Lead the mechanical design of automated equipment, machinery, and tooling Develop concepts, layouts, and design specifications for new automation systems Create and oversee detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings Support prototype builds, testing, and design refinements Manage engineering project timelines and cross-functional collaboration Conduct design reviews and implement improvements based on production feedback Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior designers Drive continuous improvement initiatives for equipment and automation systems

Qualifications:
