Job Description

If you prefer designing real machines then this role was built for you. We are a custom machinery builder designing and building one-of-a-kind automated equipment for demanding manufacturing environments. Our work is non-repetitive, fast-paced, and highly hands-on. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience designing custom machinery who enjoys solving difficult problems, collaborating with skilled trades, and taking ownership of projects from concept through machine build. This is not a product design role. This is not a high-theory engineering role. This is a practical machine design position where your work directly impacts what gets built on the shop floor. Responsibilities Design custom automated machinery and mechanical systems for unique manufacturing applications Create 3D models, assemblies, and production drawings in SolidWorks Develop machine layouts, mechanisms, structural designs, and motion systems Generate BOMs, cut lists, and manufacturing documentation using ERP systems Work directly with machinists, fabricators, tool & die makers, and assembly teams Support machine builds, troubleshooting, and design improvements Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, durable, and serviceable Required Experience 10+ years designing custom machines, automation equipment, or special machinery Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (required) Experience working in a machine build or manufacturing environment Comfortable being on the shop floor and collaborating with skilled trades Experience with ERP systems and project-based engineering workflows Strong mechanical problem-solving ability and ownership mindset Logopress experience is a plus This Role is NOT a Fit If You prefer repetitive product design work You have limited exposure to machine builds or fabrication realities You are uncomfortable making engineering decisions with limited direction You prefer highly structured corporate engineering environments
