Consulting Engineer - On Call
Northrop Grumman is in need of a well experienced Structural Engineer to work with its Propulsion Systems Control (PSC) unit. The structural analyst is desired for part-time consulting services on an as-needed basis.
The duties of the position entail consultation on structural and materials issues, participation in analysis and design reviews, and possible support for customer technical meetings. This position will support programs in rocket propulsion. Basic qualifications: • At least 15 years of experience plus a bachelors degree or higher in a STEM field. • Extensive background in rocket propulsion structural analysis is required, with particular emphasis on rocket nozzle material response under extreme thermal environments.
