Pay:
$42.31+/hour We are seeking an experienced Rear Closures Core Engineer to support the design, development, and release of automotive closure systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical or product engineer with experience in liftgates, tailgates, cargo doors, swing gates, hinges, latches, mechanisms, and system integration. In this role, you will develop technical requirements, engineering strategies, and validation documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality vehicle closure systems. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical writing and product development experience. Key Responsibilities Develop and release technical requirements and engineering specifications
Create and maintain DFMEA, DVP&R, FMA, and related engineering documentation
Support closure system design, validation, and product launch activities
Perform competitive benchmarking and technical analysis
Work with 3D CAD models using CATIA V5 and related engineering tools
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve performance and quality targets
Support issue resolution, corrective actions, and continuous product improvement Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience developing automotive closure systems (doors, hoods, liftgates, tailgates, cargo doors, etc.)
Experience writing technical specifications and engineering requirements
Knowledge of statics, dynamics, structural mechanics, and system integration
Familiarity with CATIA V5, product development processes, DFMEA, DVP&R, and benchmarking
Experience with sheet metal structures, hinges, latches, seals, and mechanisms preferred Employee Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, and Pet Insurance
