Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and release technical requirements and engineering specificationsCreate and maintain DFMEA, DVP&R, FMA, and related engineering documentationSupport closure system design, validation, and product launch activitiesPerform competitive benchmarking and technical analysisWork with 3D CAD models using CATIA V5 and related engineering toolsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve performance and quality targetsSupport issue resolution, corrective actions, and continuous product improvementQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field5+ years of experience developing automotive closure systems (doors, hoods, liftgates, tailgates, cargo doors, etc.)Experience writing technical specifications and engineering requirementsKnowledge of statics, dynamics, structural mechanics, and system integrationFamiliarity with CATIA V5, product development processes, DFMEA, DVP&R, and benchmarkingExperience with sheet metal structures, hinges, latches, seals, and mechanisms preferredEmployee BenefitsMedical, Dental, Vision, and Pet Insurance401(k) Retirement Savings PlanEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Commuter/Parking AccountsPeople Perks ProgramHealth Savings Account (HSA)AD&D InsuranceThis is a hybrid temporary position requiring candidates to work onsite in Dearborn, MI four days per week.
