Back Design Release Engineer•Electric Drive Modules#2015741 Auburn Hills, Michigan, United StatesApply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Engineer to join our Electric Drive Module (EDM) team. This role is focused on managing the release of components and systems within the EDM. The ideal candidate will have experience in the automotive field with previous design release experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and release process for EDM components, including documentation, change management, and milestone trackingLead design reviews to ensure proper component packaging both internal to the EDMs and external to the vehicle and surrounding componentsCoordinate with CAE groups to ensure functional objectives are being met and correlated to real world resultsSupport concept and pre-production builds for testing and evaluationCollaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, manufacturing, and quality to ensure timely and accurate release of designsInterface with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage part specifications, drawings, and validation plansApply knowledge of integrated circuits and electronic components to support design decisions, issue resolution, and system level designSupport the development and maintenance of release documentation such as BOMs, design records, and engineering change noticesParticipate in design reviews and provide technical input to ensure robust manufacturable and serviceable designs Location(s) 1000 Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326,
United States Requirements Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related degree field5 years of relevant experienceStrong experience with common engineering processes and tools: BOMs, DVP&R, DFMEAs, 8Ds, PDCA, system block diagrams, CAD models, 2D drawings, GD&T, design for assembly, design for serviceExperience or detailed understanding of common manufacturing processes (turning, stamping, casting, bending, laser cutting, etc.)Understanding of integrated circuits, electronic components, and system-level architecture and design.

Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detailExperience with release systems and documentation tools (Teamcenter)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline3 or more years in previous release experienceFamiliarity with electric drive systems and power electronicsDetailed experience with circuit designCoding experience in Python, C++, or similar languagesExposure to MATLAB/Simulink or other modeling tools Employment Type Full-time Stellantis At Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit and business needs.
