Minimum qualifications for Engineer in training described below. EIT candidates must be ready to learn and grow and willing to work closely with engineering personnel (as applicable) to prepare clear, complete and accurate HVAC, electrical and plumbing work plans and detail drawings from rough or detail sketches or notes. Ability to self-manage while teaming with other professionals is absolutely necessary.   • MEP Engineering Design (CAD Drafter/EIT)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of HVAC, electrical and plumbing parts to the whole project. Utilizes knowledge of various engineering design practices, mathematics, and building materials to prepare and complete drawings. Makes any adjustments or changes required by the engineers, designers and/or clients. Draws finished designs from sketches &/or designs with assistance and oversight of more seasoned, licensed staff. Uses computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software. Performs field verification measurements of project sites along with other Malicoat-Winslow Engineers personnel and/or clients. HVAC, electrical, and plumbing design. Communicates with stakeholders

Education and/or
Experience:
For EIT, Bachelors and FE. For Drafter/Designer, Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related CAD experience preferred and/or Training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. May train for the right person with attention to detail and aptitude.
