Job DescriptionAs a Mechanical Engineer III, you'll play a key role in designing mechanical systems for complex facilities while also taking ownership of project scope and mentoring junior team members. This is a great opportunity for an engineer who wants to grow into leadership while staying hands-on with design.

You'll contribute across the full project lifecycle—from early concept through construction—working alongside a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, coordinated solutions.

Core ResponsibilitiesDesign & EngineeringDesign HVAC and mechanical utility systems for new construction, renovations, and process-driven environmentsPerform engineering calculations, including heating/cooling loads, energy modeling, and system sizingDevelop construction documents, including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, and system layoutsSelect and specify equipment and ensure designs align with applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.)Project OwnershipLead the mechanical scope for small to mid-sized projects or major portions of larger projectsManage deadlines, deliverables, and mechanical budgets for assigned workContribute to all phases of design, including conceptual, schematic, design development, and constructionCollaboration & CoordinationPartner closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver coordinated designsParticipate in site visits, field surveys, and construction support activities (RFIs, submittals, punch lists)Ensure designs are practical, constructible, and aligned with project goalsTeam & Quality LeadershipMentor and support the development of junior engineers and designersLead quality checks and ensure deliverables meet CRB standardsContribute to continuous improvement and internal knowledge sharingQualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (ABET-accredited)5+ years of professional experience in mechanical system design (AEC environment preferred)Professional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience designing HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial or industrial facilitiesStrong understanding of engineering fundamentals, codes, and industry standardsPreferred QualificationsExperience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, laboratory, or food & beverage facilitiesFamiliarity with GMP environments or regulated industriesProficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM toolsExperience working with contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary teamsExposure to sustainable design practices (LEED, WELL, etc.)Experience with plumbing systems and/or field assessments#LI-JV1Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
