Join our Team as an Electromechanical Systems Engineer in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE)!

The Role:

We're seeking an Electromechanical Systems Engineer to support Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives focused on improving product profitability, performance, and quality. You'll evaluate existing designs, develop and test cost-effective alternatives, and solve product challenges across electromechanical systems. As the primary Systems Engineer within the VAVE team, you'll collaborate with manufacturing, operations, product development, and suppliers to turn engineering opportunities into practical improvements that directly influence product cost and organizational profitability.

What You'll Be Doing:

Identify and propose design alternatives that reduce product cost while maintaining or improving performance and quality.

Develop and test redesigned components and systems to support VAVE and cost-reduction initiatives.

Troubleshoot existing product issues, perform root cause analysis, and modify designs to achieve defined targets.

Evaluate supplier capabilities and costs to identify opportunities for design, sourcing, and product improvements.

Serve as the primary Systems Engineer within the VAVE team, providing electromechanical engineering expertise.

Partner with manufacturing, operations, product development, suppliers, and other stakeholders to evaluate and implement improvements.

Drive engineering initiatives that directly influence product cost, manufacturability, and organizational profitability.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.

Strong understanding of electromechanical systems and industrial manufacturing processes.

Working knowledge of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) principles and best practices.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an approach grounded in root cause analysis.

Effective planning, organization, and coordination skills across multiple stakeholders and initiatives.

Clear communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

What Sets You Apart:

Advanced degree or additional expertise in Electrical or Electromechanical Systems.

Hands-on involvement in Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) or engineering cost-reduction projects.

Familiarity with lift trucks, mobile equipment, electronic control systems, or hydraulics.

Experience with competitive benchmarking and JIRA or similar project management tools.

Where and When You'll Work:

This is an in-person role located at our Greene, New York office—ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment. What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:

Salary - $65,440 - $83,895 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
