Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly capable Senior MechanicalProject Engineer with experience in custom equipment design and full project lifecycle management. This individual will play a key role in engineering, managing, and delivering mechanical systems tailored to customer needs. From concept through commissioning, this role is responsible for CAD design, technical leadership, coordination with internal teams, and direct customer engagement.
Responsibilities:
Lead full lifecycle execution of complex custom equipment projects Own mechanical system design including advanced and integrated systems Serve as primary technical point of contact for customers Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and technical risk Drive cross-functional coordination across engineering, fabrication, controls, and service Lead equipment testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning efforts Establish and enforce engineering standards, documentation, and best practices Contribute to product/platform standardization and continuous improvement
Project & Leadership Expectations:
Leads multiple or high-complexity projects independently Mentors and develops junior engineers and designers Drives technical decision-making and problem resolution Interfaces with leadership on project status, risk, and resource planning Contributes to sales support (concepting, estimating, technical proposals)
Specific Skills/requirements:
Advanced capability in system design, including multi-discipline integration Strong analytical skills across structural, thermal, and fluid systems Deep experience with: Drive systems and motion control Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Thermal systems including industrial ovens and heat processing equipment Ability to develop system-level concepts and translate into manufacturable designs Strong understanding of controls integration and sequence development
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's or associate degree in engineering or equivalent experience
Experience:
6-10+ years' experience custom equipment design and manufacturing Ability to travel 10-20%, including international travel. 3D CAD (Solidworks, Inventor, or equivalent) experience The specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be all-inclusive. Pay:
$105,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
