Growth Opportunities Position has full autonomy About Our Client Our client is seeking a Design Engineer with strong experience in plastics manufacturing to support the design and development of production tooling, fixtures, and component parts. This role requires a hands-on engineering professional who can take concepts from design through manufacturing while driving improvements in quality, efficiency, and performance. Job Description Design and develop plastic components, fixtures, tooling, and production equipment using SolidWorks. Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings. Support new product development and existing product improvements. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to ensure designs are optimized for production. Design and implement fixtures, jigs, gauges, and tooling to improve manufacturing efficiency. Troubleshoot production issues and develop engineering solutions. Conduct design reviews, testing, and validation activities. Maintain engineering documentation, bills of materials, and revision control. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 3+ years of design engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency with SolidWorks, including part, assembly, and drawing creation. Experience with plastics manufacturing processes such as injection molding, extrusion, thermoforming, or similar. Proven experience designing fixtures, tooling, jigs, and custom manufacturing equipment. Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing drawings, and engineering best practices.
