Job Description

Cosmo Corporation is a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision engineered plastic components for the electrical and electronics industries. We produce over 500 million components each year, and our products can be found in nearly every type of consumer and industrial electronic device. We are a growth-oriented company with an 81 year history of innovation and quality. We have an immediate opening in our Solon, OH headquarters for a qualified Mold Tooling and Process Engineer.
Primary Responsibilities :
  • Evaluate injection mold tooling for areas of concern/improvement for quality and efficiency.
  • Participate in new tool design reviews and recommend improvements to optimize molding, setup, and overall manufacturing.
  • Develop and document injection molding process parameters for new and existing thermoset and thermoplastic molds.
  • Troubleshoot molding processes and material issues.
  • Collect and analyze data for process improvements
Minimum Requirements :
  • College degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in plastics / Plastics Technology.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with plastic mold tooling.
  • Working knowledge of a wide range of thermoplastic and thermoset materials and their properties.
  • Hands on experience with injection molding processing
  • Technical knowledge of injection molding machines and related equipment.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Excellent problem solving skills with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
