Press Room & Tooling Manufacturing Engineer About the Role We are seeking a hands-on, self-driven Press Room & Tooling Manufacturing Engineer to support metal stamping operations and tooling performance. This role is heavily floor-focused and will play a key part in improving uptime, reducing setup time, and driving continuous improvement across pressroom and tool room operations. Our facility operates a wide range of stamping presses from 165 tons to 1,600 tons, offering exposure to diverse applications and complex tooling environments. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve tooling and press-related issues in real time Support tool room with die repair, maintenance, and performance improvements Update and maintain tooling prints (CAD - 3D preferred) Drive improvements in setup reduction, downtime, quality, and efficiency Work directly on the floor to understand process capabilities and constraints Collaborate with tool room, operations, engineering, sales, and plant leadership Support and oversee outsourced tooling work when required Train and mentor less experienced team members Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related) Experience in metal stamping and tooling Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills CAD experience required (3D modeling preferred) Hands-on, team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills Willingness to travel as needed Preferred Die design or tool room experience Servo press experience Why Join Us Work in a high-impact, hands-on engineering role Exposure to a broad range of press sizes and tooling challenges (165T-1,600T) Be part of a team focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence
