Position Overview:
The objective of this position is to research, develop, and design standard and custom specialty gas delivery systems according to customer specifications, deadlines, and industry standards and codes. This includes conferring with management, manufacturing, and customer service to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and project scheduling
Responsibilities Include:
Develop conceptual and production designs from project specification Produce and perform Inventor modeling and detailed drawings of standard and custom products Check drawings for dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and presentation Complete MRP system Bill of Material (BOM) entry Interact with production/quality departments to ensure that parts and builds are as per the design Select system components for standard and custom products Understand engineering specifications and provide feedback to sales for request for quotes Accurately schedule and track projects and provide progress reports regarding real-time project delays Recommend component substitutions to meet project schedules With direction of a supervisor, complete P&IDs for custom gas equipment Execute engineering calculations for pressure losses, heat losses, and exhaust requirements Complete training for industry codes and best design practices Interact with production, as well as outside vendors to resolve manufacturing and design related issues

Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness Excellent written and oral communication skills A meticulous sense of timeliness and attention to detail Highly organized with an innate ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time and tasks effectively Possess a customer-centric, team driven personality
Required Experience:
4 Year Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering required 2-10 years' experience in mechanical engineering field or related area Working knowledge of MRP/ERP software preferred Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Expert knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor Applied Energy Systems Inc is an EEO employer - M/F/Vets/Disabled
