Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer II to join a dynamic and collaborative engineering team focused on delivering innovative, high-quality mechanical solutions. In this role, you will lead projects from concept through production, ensuring designs meet performance, cost, and schedule requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead mechanical design efforts from concept, design, and validation through production release Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design consistency, quality, and adherence to best practices Support system-level design activities, including layout development and equipment integration Design and specify mechanical components such as gearboxes, bearings, motors, and structural elements Create detailed drawings for assemblies, weldments, installations, and modifications Release and manage engineering documentation through ERP systems Work closely with fabrication and assembly teams to troubleshoot and resolve design issues Travel to customer sites as needed to support project requirements and execution Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and virtual meetings Drive continuous improvement and contribute to new product and process innovation What Success Looks Like Projects are delivered on time and within budget Designs are accurate, manufacturable, and meet quality standards Strong collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and project teams Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Active contribution to a positive and solutions-focused team culture Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in automation or manufacturing Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and 2D drafting Experience working with ERP systems is a plus Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machine design principles Proven ability to manage projects with tight timelines and budgets Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
