This role ensures that products meet performance, quality, safety, manufacturability, regulatory, and cost requirements while supporting customer needs and business objectives. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams including sales, product management, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, and service organizations.
Major Responsibilities:
  • Engineer HVAC system solutions, including performance calculations, component selections, and system layout, based on project specifications and requirements.
  • Creation of 2D/3D designs and technical submittals coordinated with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure technical compliance and manufacturability.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards, including, but not limited to the following:
ASHRAE, AHRI, AMCA, UL, ETL, NFPA
  • Provide technical expertise to sales, customers, and consulting engineers reviewing project specifications and assist with equipment selection.
  • Manage projects to meet schedule, cost, and performance objectives, tracking project milestones, risks and deliverables.
  • Support product releases, creating bills of materials (BOMs), specifications, and technical documentation, and performing design verification.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to improve product quality, efficiency, and manufacturability,
  • Resolve production issues related to product design, and review and disposition engineering change requests and notifications (ECRs & ECNs).
  • Conduct Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with test plans, validation protocols, and reports.
  • Support service participating in field troubleshooting and root cause warranty investigations, analyzing field data and identifying corrective actions and opportunities for improvement.
Description of Authority:
  • Approve engineering designs within assigned product responsibilities.
  • Recommend design changes and product improvements.
  • Establish technical requirements and specifications.
  • Resolve engineering issues affecting product performance and manufacturability.
  • Provide engineering guidance to internal stakeholders.
