Mid Level Mechanical Engineer Pay Rate:
$60.75/hr

9/80 schedule; hybrid in Maple Grove, MN Position Summary The Mechanical Engineer will research, plan, analyze, design, and develop mechanical products and systems supporting military applications. Products may include ammunition handling systems, structures, gun systems, missile launchers, mechanisms, and related devices . This position will perform engineering design, analysis, testing, and evaluation while supporting product development and production activities. The engineer will create and maintain product parts, assemblies, and engineering drawings using PTC Creo Parametric 11 and ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements. Work Location & Schedule This position follows a hybrid schedule in Maple Grove, Minnesota , with a minimum of three days per week on-site. Tuesday and Wednesday are mandatory on-site days. The third on-site day may be Monday or Thursday.

10000 Mission Drive, Maple Grove, MN. Key Responsibilities Research, plan, analyze, design, and develop mechanical products, components, and systems. Create and maintain product parts, assemblies, and engineering drawings using PTC Creo Parametric 11. Perform engineering design, development, analysis, experimentation, testing, and product assurance activities. Conduct technical analysis, testing, and evaluation of moderately complex engineering problems using specialized equipment and computer applications. Analyze and interpret design specifications, engineering drawings, models, documentation, and test results. Ensure designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications, and product requirements. Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to mechanical designs and drawings. Perform tolerance stack-up analysis. Work with internal and external manufacturing shops to support fabrication and production of designs. Develop new technical documentation and revise existing engineering documentation. Provide input to technical papers, reports, and presentations. Provide technical presentations related to production support activities as required. Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers. Maintain current knowledge of applicable engineering disciplines, technologies, industry practices, and trends. Provide input to project leaders regarding project plans, schedules, and budgets. Maintain a safe working environment and comply with applicable safety policies and procedures. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline . Minimum of 4 years of relevant engineering experience . Alternatively, a relevant Master of Science degree with at least 2 years of related experience . Working knowledge of creating moderately complex solid models and mechanical designs using CAD software. Experience with PTC Pro/ENGINEER (Pro/E) or Creo strongly preferred. Ability to solve moderately complex technical design and development problems requiring professional-level engineering knowledge. Working knowledge of GD&T principles in accordance with ASME Y14.5-2009 or

. Working knowledge of tolerance stack-up analysis. Experience working with internal or external manufacturing shops to produce mechanical designs. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications 4+ years of Creo modeling and engineering drawing generation experience. Experience with an
EPDM/PDM
system, preferably PTC Windchill . Familiarity with applicable military and commercial design standards. Experience within a military product production environment. Experience developing precision assembly tooling. Familiarity with current engineering software, applications, and technologies. Preferred experience range of approximately 4-15 years .
