Custom Automated Machinery Design Experience Overview:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in machine design, automation, and SolidWorks to support the development of custom automated machinery and manufacturing equipment.
Job Duties:
Design custom automated machinery and mechanical systems using SolidWorksCreate 3D models, detailed drawings, assemblies, and BOMsReview customer requirements and develop machine design solutionsSelect materials, components, and manufacturing processesIntegrate automation technologies including pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, conveyors, and servo-driven systemsSupport engineering calculations, component sizing, and design validation activitiesCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers throughout project executionSupport machine assembly, testing, troubleshooting, startup, and commissioning activitiesParticipate in design reviews and ensure compliance with safety and quality standardsIdentify opportunities for design improvements and continuous improvement initiativesAutomation equipment or custom machinery designRobotics, motion control, pneumatics, conveyors, or industrial automation systemsManufacturing, industrial equipment, or systems integration environmentsThis role is ideal for candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, SolidWorks experience, and hands-on machine design experience. Experience designing custom machinery or automation equipment is highly preferred.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)2-6 years of mechanical engineering experienceExperience with machine design and custom equipment designExperience using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD softwareExperience creating mechanical drawings, assemblies, and bills of materialsStrong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, manufacturing processes, and fabrication methods Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
