Job Description

Automated Assembly Design Engineer responsible for developing complex mechanical designs for automated assembly systems from concept through implementation. Job Requirements 6+ years of experience designing automated assembly systems. Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks. Hands-on experience developing mechanical designs for automation equipment. Experience with mechanical component selection. Experience with system-level mechanical design. Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles applied to automated equipment. Experience supporting designs through concept, detailed design, review, and execution. Experience creating production-ready mechanical designs for automated assembly equipment. Preferred Skills Experience with Windchill. Experience with automated manufacturing or high-volume assembly equipment. Experience designing tooling, fixtures, mechanisms, or machine assemblies. Experience supporting design reviews with project engineering teams. Experience with CAD-based design configuration and revision control. Experience supporting equipment build, integration, and commissioning activities. Job Responsibilities Develop complex mechanical designs for automated assembly systems. Create and modify SolidWorks models, assemblies, and engineering drawings. Select mechanical components for automated equipment. Develop system-level mechanical layouts and machine concepts. Execute detailed mechanical designs from concept through implementation. Participate in engineering and design reviews. Incorporate design changes resulting from technical reviews. Support automated assembly equipment through fabrication, build, integration, and implementation. Maintain engineering design documentation and revision control. Support project engineering teams with mechanical design development and technical documentation.
