The ideal candidate combines mechanical aptitude and computer/documentation skills to bridge the gap between the shop floor and engineering. Job Responsibilities
  • Manage production tooling including test fixtures, jigs, and assembly aids; ensure all tooling is maintained, calibrated, and documented
  • Log and track production activities, incoming product inspections, and quality observations as products arrive from contract manufacturers
  • Supervise and coordinate daily work of production technician(s), providing direction on priorities and procedures
  • Design and build simple test fixtures and production aids to improve manufacturing efficiency and repeatability

  • Disciplined and organized, with strong computer skills for documentation and record-keeping
  • Reliable and self-directed, able to manage daily production tasks with minimal oversight
  • Team oriented with the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, and quality teams
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibility as needed in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field — or equivalent hands-on work experience
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work, apprenticeship, or hands-on experience with tools, fixtures, and assemblies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel) and comfortable learning new software systems
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and basic engineering documentation
  • Familiarity with test equipment, multimeters, and basic measurement tools Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • Experience with Fusion or similar 3D CAD software
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Irrigation or water management industry knowledge
  • Experience with TestRail or equivalent test management platform (test case management, test run tracking, traceability, and reporting)
  • Familiarity with Keithley Instruments (Tektronix) or equivalent electronic test equipment — SMUs, DMMs, analyzers — and scripting or GUI-based test automation for voltage/current/resistance measurement Compensation
