In this role, you will lead mechanical product development projects, applying your expertise in mechanical design, modeling, and analysis to drive innovative solutions. Duties Mechanical design efforts utilizing CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, creating detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models for product development. Conduct tolerance analysis and mechanical drafting to ensure precision and manufacturability of components. Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulation techniques to validate mechanical integrity under various operational conditions. Develop, or manage the development of mechanical detail drawings to support the sale and installation of system designs to meet customer needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and supplier manufacturing engineers to refine design. Manage project schedules from conception through completion while practicing effective project management techniques. Conduct root cause analysis for mechanical failures or performance issues, implementing corrective actions aligned with ASME codes & standards. Skills Five years of experience in mechanical engineering roles within industrial or manufacturing environments. Proficiency in CAD software including SolidWorks, Creo, Drafting tools, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms. Strong knowledge of mechanical product development processes, including 3D modeling for product design and mechanical detail drawings. Expertise in tolerance analysis, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and schematic creation for machine design. Skilled in performing FEA simulations using CAD-integrated tools to evaluate structural performance. Ability to perform root cause analysis on mechanical issues using systematic troubleshooting methods. Knowledge of industry standards including ASME codes & standards relevant to machine design and manufacturing practices. Effective cross-functional communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on engineering product development projects.
