ABOUT THE ROLE
An employee-owned leader in modular infrastructure and offsite manufacturing is seeking a Manager, Mechanical Engineering . This role leads mechanical system design, ensures technical compliance, and manages an engineering team to support business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design & Analysis:
Lead mechanical system design (HVAC, plumbing, cooling, central plants) for offsite-manufactured infrastructure. Perform thermal, airflow, and equipment sizing calculations.
Technical Execution:
Create 3D models and fabrication packages using Revit, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks. Ensure designs meet building codes (ASHRAE, IPC, IMC, NFPA) and PE sealing standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with electrical, structural, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to integrate designs into production.
Team Leadership:
Build, mentor, and manage an engineering team. Establish engineering standards, prioritize workloads, and develop scalable processes.
Site Operations:
Conduct field surveys, assess site conditions, and resolve construction-phase design challenges.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
BS in Mechanical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
Experience:
10+ years in mechanical engineering, ideally within modular, industrial, or offsite manufacturing environments.
Licensure:
Active PE license required. Valid Driver's License.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and mechanical analysis tools. Deep knowledge of HVAC and cooling systems.
Leadership:
Proven ability to manage teams, establish technical standards, and work autonomously.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL
Setting:
Hybrid (office, production facilities, and job sites).
Travel:
Up to 25%.
