Job Description
Job Summary:
Mechanical Engineer will complete mold designs and quoting for vendors and customers. Will also need to be able to program a CNC machine to make the molds that have been designed. Needs to have strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with customers, vendors, management, and the shop team.

Paid Holidays Responsibilities:
Designs molds and mechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods Develops mechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; and soliciting observations from operators Oversee the entire lifecycle of the mold design process, from planning and design to testing and implementation Resolve any questions through written and verbal communication with the customer Ensures proper documentation including fine print details on all product certifications Provide pricing for customer projects: raw materials, parts, assemblies, subassemblies, finished goods, equipment, services Communicates with suppliers to discuss material specifications, clarifies and confirms bill of materials Perform regular tests and experiments to determine how to better improve processes Assist in the
ISO 9001
registration process Program CNC machine to make molds you designed and assist CNC operator with any questions while producing the mold or tool
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (must be ABET accredited) 3-5 years of mechanical/process engineering Experience/knowledge with
SOLID WORKS
Design experience with molded part design Ability to work with minimum guidance A determined mindset to get things done Strong hands-on ability Strong commitment to accountability, collaboration, and execution Desire to establish/foster strong cross functional relationships across the company Team player Effective written/oral communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment and manufacturing setting Strong computer skills (Oulook, Word, Excel, spreadsheets/databases) Customer service oriented when communicating with customers and vendors
