Job Requirements Dahlgren, VA Secret Polygraph Unspecified Mid Level Career (5+ yrs experience) Salary not specified Join Premium to unlock estimated salaries Job Description CPT is seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to support the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30) at NSWC Dahlgren. This role directly supports U.S. Navy gun weapon system development, evaluation, and sustainment programs in a collaborative, mission-critical environment. Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical systems requirements management and engineering design activities supporting E30 Gun Weapon Systems programs. Conduct mechanical design, integration, and test evaluation activities using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or Pro/Engineer. Develop and review engineering drawings, design specifications, and mechanical systems documentation. Lead or support mechanical systems integration, engineering, and design trade studies. Participate in design reviews, Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) evaluations, and technical interchange meetings. Support testing activities, including test planning, test execution, data collection, and analysis. Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams on mechanical interface control and system compatibility. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline. 2-5 years of professional mechanical engineering experience, including design and integration. Proficiency with mechanical CAD tools (SolidWorks, Pro/Engineer, or equivalent). Experience with mechanical systems requirements management and engineering design processes.
