Job Description

Responsible for designing and developing manufacturing fixtures, tooling, jigs, and gauges using 3D CAD software to improve manufacturing quality, productivity, safety, and efficiency. Job Requirements Mechanical design experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience designing fixtures, tooling, jigs, or gauges. Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling, assembly design, and detailed engineering drawings. Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), dimensional tolerances, materials, and fabrication processes. Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles. Experience with prototyping, fabrication, and mechanical design validation. Ability to develop engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Preferred Skills Experience using SolidWorks for 3D modeling, assemblies, and detailed drawings. Experience designing and improving manufacturing tooling and production fixtures. Knowledge of machining, fabrication, and material selection. Experience with tooling installation, testing, and validation. Familiarity with manufacturing process optimization and production efficiency improvements. Job Responsibilities Design and develop manufacturing fixtures, tooling, jigs, and gauges to support production operations. Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, detailed engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Develop mechanical designs that meet manufacturing specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements. Apply GD&T and Design for Manufacturability principles to tooling and fixture designs. Support prototype development, fabrication, assembly, and testing of manufacturing tooling. Coordinate fabrication and installation of new fixtures, jigs, and tooling. Evaluate and improve existing tooling to enhance manufacturing quality, safety, productivity, and efficiency. Perform design modifications based on prototype testing and manufacturing requirements. Support Manufacturing Engineering and Operations with tooling development and production process improvements. Maintain accurate engineering drawings, design documentation, and tooling specifications.
Pay:
