Job Description

Mechanical Engineer Join our dynamic team at Alleima Special Metals, part of the global Alleima Group, where innovation meets precision manufacturing. Within our Specialized Business Unit, we produce high-performance titanium tube products for demanding industries such as Aerospace and Medical. We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support and drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations in Kennewick, Washington. In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert for manufacturing equipment, including seamless tube reducing mills, while contributing to equipment reliability, process optimization, and engineering excellence. Technical advancement opportunities are available through growing depth and breadth of expertise. Starting level will depend on experience. Your Role As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our specialized manufacturing equipment and processes. Act as project leader for assigned engineering projects. Develop and implement original mechanical designs that improve equipment performance, reliability, and safety. Revise and optimize existing equipment designs to support continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate mechanical design documentation, drawings, and engineering records. Specify, procure, and manage installation of assigned equipment and upgrades. Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Technical Engineering teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement sustainable solutions. Support manufacturing process improvements through engineering analysis and data-driven decision making. Ensure all engineering activities are performed in compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. About You You are a motivated, solutions-oriented engineer who thrives in a manufacturing environment. You collaborate effectively across teams while independently managing projects and technical initiatives. Committed to safety and continuous improvement, you focus on enhancing equipment reliability, optimizing manufacturing processes, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline and brings 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in industrial or metals production. Experience with SolidWorks or similar design software and a working knowledge of statistical analysis methods for maintenance and reliability are preferred. The successful candidate is an effective communicator and collaborative team member with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a willingness to continuously learn and develop expertise in company and industry best practices. Due to applicable export control regulations, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and qualify as a U.S. Person, which generally includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), and certain other individuals authorized under U.S. export control laws to access ITAR-regulated information and facilities. Applicants must also be able to work for any employer in the United States without current or future sponsorship for employment visa status. What you can expect from us The salary range for this position is $82, 000 - $102, 500 annually with a 10% annual bonus and annual merit eligibility. Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance as well as company paid disability and life insurance. We offer paid time off and 11 paid holidays a year. A 401 (K) retirement savings plan begins on day 31 and provides a 5% company contribution plus company match of 50% for the first 6% you contribute, all immediately vested.
