Key Responsibilities Paper Machine Roll Engineering:
Provide mechanical design and engineering support for new paper machine rolls, including detailed designs, drawings, specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
Roll Repair Analysis:
Inspect and evaluate used or damaged paper machine rolls, perform technical assessments, and develop engineering recommendations for repair.
Reverse Engineering:
Reverse engineer components for mechanical presses and other industrial equipment when original documentation is unavailable. Create accurate 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and specifications.
Custom Automation:
Design and develop custom automation systems and equipment to improve manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and safety.
Press Repair Support:
Provide engineering expertise and technical guidance to the Press Repair Department during the repair and refurbishment of stamping presses and related equipment.
New Product Development:
Assist with the design and development of new auxiliary equipment and systems for stamping press lines.
Technical Documentation:
Create and maintain accurate 2D drawings, 3D models, bills of materials (BOMs), specifications, and work instructions.
Metal Stamping Press Repair Support:
Provide engineering expertise and technical guidance to the Press Repair Department during the repair and refurbishment of stamping presses and related equipment.
New Product Development:
Assist with the design and development of new auxiliary equipment and systems for stamping press lines. Design experience for custom automation and motion controls is desirable but not required.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with manufacturing, repair, and sales teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, manufacturable, and aligned with customer requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
Participate in design reviews, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
